Why Your Systems Aren’t Working (and How to Fix Them)

I was digging through some old projects this week and found a lead capture system I built last year. It worked perfectly: form submitted, data saved, spreadsheet updated.

The problem was I had no idea how effective it was. No goal tied to it whatsoever.

I had technically built a pretty cool automation, but I hadn’t finished it. Without a clear goal (say, “convert 20% of email leads to consultations” or whatever) I had no way to judge if it was working.

Maybe you’ve experienced something similar: you built or bought a cool automation last year, but you’ve never checked in on it, never tracked it, and have no idea how effective it actually was.

I go over this problem in my newest video, as well as some ways to solve it. Check it out! ⤵️

A couple takeaways and solutions:

  • Before you build anything, write down what success looks like 6 months from now
  • Check your forms: do they trigger action, or just collect dust?
  • Test last year’s automation with a fake lead. You might be surprised what’s broken
  • Don’t build a funnel unless you know what the final step is

The fix is simple: finish the system. If you capture a lead, send the follow-up. If you set a goal, track it. Tie your systems to your goals, then you can actually know if it worked.

And if you’re not sure how where to start, let me know! I’d be happy to take a look and help.

Have a great rest of your week
