This month: free marketing audit and website teardown. Limited spots.

Why Your Website Hero Is So Important

There’s one section of your website that determines whether someone stays or leaves within 3 seconds.

It’s your hero section, that first thing people see when your site loads.

If you nail it, you’ve got a new client. Miss it, and they’re gone before they scroll down.

Getting it right isn’t about fancy design. You just need to answer these three questions they’ll ask. ⤵️

1. What do you actually do?

Sounds obvious, yet websites still use vague headlines like “Someone you can trust.” That doesn’t tell us anything about your business.

Compare that to something straightforward like “Web design for service-based businesses.” If visitors can’t categorize you immediately, they click away.

2. Is this for me?

Your visitor is silently asking: Is this my industry? My market size? In my area?

Make it obvious who and where you serve. Don’t make them dig to figure out if they’re your people.

3. What do I do next?

As humans, we crave direction. Without a clear next step (i.e., book a call, see pricing, view work) we feel lost.

So make sure your Call to Action is front and visible. Your buttons should be large and labelled clearly.

Here’s your next step: Pull up your homepage right now. Run through the three questions above, as if you were a client. Does your hero answer them all?

Bonus: Then do it again on your phone. Hero sections that work on desktop can completely fall apart on mobile.

Need help updating your hero? That’s what we do. Book a call.
